Job Summary:
Interstate Europe Hotels & Resorts is currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Front Office Manager. As an Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s front desk and guest services. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest services.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and addressing any inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the training and development of front desk staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent service.
- Monitor front desk operations to ensure adherence to established procedures, standards, and brand guidelines.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of front desk policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns effectively, finding appropriate solutions and taking necessary actions to resolve issues.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of front office reports, including occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction metrics.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the hotel’s services, facilities, and local attractions to provide accurate information to guests.
- Collaborate with the Front Office Manager and other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance guest experiences.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a front office or guest services role, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Sound knowledge of hotel front office operations, including reservations, check-in/check-out procedures, and guest services.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems and other relevant software.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
