Job Summary:

Interstate Europe Hotels & Resorts is currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Front Office Manager. As an Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s front desk and guest services. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest services.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and addressing any inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Support the training and development of front desk staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent service.
  4. Monitor front desk operations to ensure adherence to established procedures, standards, and brand guidelines.
  5. Assist with the creation and implementation of front desk policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  6. Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.
  7. Handle guest complaints or concerns effectively, finding appropriate solutions and taking necessary actions to resolve issues.
  8. Assist in the preparation and analysis of front office reports, including occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction metrics.
  9. Maintain a strong working knowledge of the hotel’s services, facilities, and local attractions to provide accurate information to guests.
  10. Collaborate with the Front Office Manager and other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance guest experiences.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a front office or guest services role, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
  2. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues at all levels.
  4. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  5. Sound knowledge of hotel front office operations, including reservations, check-in/check-out procedures, and guest services.
  6. Familiarity with hotel property management systems and other relevant software.
  7. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  8. Eligibility to work in the UK.
