Job Description

Position Overview: Metropolitan Hotel Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our dedicated housekeeping team. The Room Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of guest rooms, maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel, and providing exceptional service to our guests. This role requires attention to detail, effective time management skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Clean and tidy assigned guest rooms according to established standards and procedures.
2. Make beds, change linens, and ensure that all amenities are replenished.
3. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms to maintain cleanliness.
4. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and countertops.
5. Remove trash, dirty linens, and used amenities from guest rooms.
6. Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
7. Report any maintenance issues or damages in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
8. Collaborate with the front desk to prioritize guest requests and ensure timely service delivery.
9. Follow established safety and security procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
10. Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service.
11. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while on duty, adhering to the hotel’s grooming and dress code policies.
12. Assist with other housekeeping tasks such as cleaning public areas, hallways, and employee areas as needed.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in a similar housekeeping role is preferred.
2. Strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of cleanliness standards.
3. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and procedures.
4. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
9. Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials is a plus.
10. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
