Job Description
Khalidia Palace Hotel Dubai is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our dedicated maintenance team. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the hotel premises. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local regulations and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems, including but not limited to lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and electrical panels.
- Respond promptly to electrical issues reported by staff or guests, and resolve them efficiently to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults or malfunctions, ensuring proper functioning and safety of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate electrical work and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including documenting repairs, replacements, and inspections performed.
- Assist in the planning and execution of electrical installations and upgrades throughout the hotel, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain an inventory of electrical supplies and equipment, and submit requisitions for necessary replacements or additional items as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to other maintenance team members regarding electrical systems and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, regulations, and best practices related to electrical systems and equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Valid electrical license or certification from a recognized institution.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety protocols.
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing repairs.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
