Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring high cleanliness standards are met.
• Change and make beds, ensuring proper linen and bedding are used.
• Restock supplies, such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
• Empty and dispose of waste and recycling bins, following established guidelines.
• Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Wipe down and disinfect high-touch areas, including door handles, handrails, and light switches.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient and visitor requests with professionalism and compassion.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper, Cleaner, or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and the safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
