Position Overview:
As a Retail Sales Consultant at Beacon South West Ltd, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales within our retail store. Your role will involve assisting customers, offering product knowledge, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Greet customers, understand their needs, and provide assistance in finding the right products or services to meet their requirements. Offer product recommendations and detailed information to enhance their shopping experience.
- Sales Generation: Actively engage with customers, promote and sell merchandise to achieve individual and store sales targets. Use persuasive techniques to drive customer interest and close sales.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our product range, including features, benefits, pricing, and promotions. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
- Customer Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business. Follow up on customer inquiries, provide post-sale support, and address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Visual Merchandising: Assist in creating visually appealing displays and maintaining a well-organized and tidy sales floor. Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure attractive product presentation and effective signage.
- Point-of-Sale Operations: Operate cash registers, process transactions, and handle payments accurately. Adhere to all cash handling procedures and maintain a high level of integrity in financial transactions.
- Stock Management: Monitor and replenish inventory levels to ensure products are adequately stocked on the sales floor. Conduct regular stock checks, assist in inventory management activities, and communicate with the stock control team as needed.
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Assist in daily cleaning tasks, including tidying shelves, organizing stockrooms, and maintaining a safe and pleasant shopping environment.
- Product Training: Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques. Stay updated on new product releases, features, and benefits to effectively promote and sell to customers.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. Share knowledge, assist team members when needed, and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Excellent product knowledge and the ability to learn about new products quickly.
- Proficiency in using cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the store’s operating hours.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy merchandise when required.
