Responsibilities
Responsibilities for Chefs may include:
- Planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
- Modifying menus or creating new ones that meet quality standards
- Estimating food requirements and food/labor costs
- Supervising kitchen staff’s activities
- Arranging for equipment purchases and repairs
- Managing and training kitchen staff
- Complying with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- And other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To be successful in any Chef role at The Friendly Toast, you must have:
- A diploma from a culinary school
- Previous experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- The ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- A passion for cooking and creating new dishes
