Job Description

As a Chef at GOLDLEAF (KATONG) RESTAURANT, you will play a pivotal role in the kitchen team, responsible for the preparation and presentation of our signature dishes. You will be expected to uphold the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Food Preparation:
    • Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
    • Ensure consistency in taste and presentation of dishes.
    • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and marinating.
  2. Kitchen Operations:
    • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness.
    • Assist in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.
    • Modify menus or create new ones in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager.
  3. Hygiene and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
    • Monitor the temperature of refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in preparing Taiwanese or Chinese cuisine is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of food, hygiene, and safety standards.
