Requirements for Qualification for Graduate Scholarships from Canada:
When submitting an application for the Canada Graduate Master’s Scholarship, make sure you meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must be a protected person under the Refugee Act, a Canadian citizen, or a permanent residence.
- The candidate must be enrolled full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program with CGS shares at a Canadian higher education institution or be in the process of enrolling.
- The candidate must submit an application for admission before the deadline for a graduate program that qualifies.
- The candidate must not have held a CGS scholarship in the past.
- The applicant must have acquired first-rate leverage throughout the previous two academic years.
- One scholarship or fellowship application may be submitted to NSERC, CIHR, or SSHRC per academic year.
Programs Eligible for Canada Graduate Scholarship Awards:
To qualify for the Canada Graduate Master’s scholarship program, students must enrol in one of the following academic programs at reputable Canadian universities:
- DVM/Ph.D. \sMD/Ph.D. \sJD/Ph.D. \sJD/MA

Yet each of the graduate degree programs that the candidates are interested in must have a research component that permits them to work on a thesis, dissertation, clinical trial, research project, academic publication, etc. Similar to this, candidates for the Canadian Graduate Scholarships program cannot have ordinary MS degrees without any clinical research experience.
Application Process for Canadian Graduate Scholarship Program:
The Canadian Graduate Scholarship Program’s application procedure is, well, online. Applications can be submitted by candidates through the Research Portal on the official website of the Canadian government. Choose the Canada Graduate Scholarship program as the financing option by clicking on create applications. Once you’ve finished, pick a title for your application that accurately describes your study subject. then decide on your research area. You must provide a CIHR personal identification number (PIN) with your application if you have chosen the study area of health.

After choosing the field, a list of universities that are eligible to receive the Canada Graduate Scholarship award will be displayed. Decide on the college and degree program for which you want to apply for a scholarship. Enter the number of months remaining till December 31st of the application year after that.
In the meantime, the necessary files in the format for the Canadian Graduate Scholarship program must be uploaded. Password-protected documents won’t be accepted either. Prior to the deadline, provide the three Reference Assessments with your application.
The fact that changes cannot be made after the application has been filed is another thing to consider. Similar to late submissions, incomplete applications won’t be taken into account. On the Research portal website, go to the Open section and click the Action column to view the application status.
Selection Standards:
The criteria used to choose the recipients of the Canada Graduate Scholarship include previous academic records, research abilities, critical thinking skills, prior work experience or academic training in the chosen research field, as well as personal traits, leadership experience, and interpretation abilities.
