EXPERIENCE IN: Maintenance of residential and light industrial buildings; maintenance of historical buildings; upkeep of outdoor structures/facilities. Significant expertise in the carpentry profession in a maintenance shop environment.

KNOWLEDGE OF: THE CARPENTERY TRADE, PRACTICES, AND PROCEDURE; THE CURRENT MEANS AND PRACTICES RELATED TO THE REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF STrucTURES; THE CURRENT CODES, STATUTES, AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO CARPENTERY

SKILLS: Use tools and equipment specific to the carpentry trade; carry out general labor duties relevant to the craft; maintain work records and drawings; review and interpret conceptual ideas and building/construction plans; work independently; and evaluate and change priorities.

PERSONAL SUITABILITY: • Demonstrates good judgment; • Effectively interacts with others both verbally and in writing; • Establishes personal connections; • Assumes responsibility; is dependable; • Takes initiative;

Expertise installing, mudding, and tapping drywall. Experience conducting code compliance inspections of public and commercial buildings.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • The ability to work weekends, shift work, statutory holidays, and overtime, if necessary; • The ability to travel and work in a variety of climatic and geographic conditions to different work sites; and • The ability to wear identifying clothing, safety gear, and adhere to safety procedures.

Prior to employment, all conditions of employment must be satisfied;

old and maintain a valid driver’s license. Be required to submit to and pass pre-placement and ongoing medical exams. Get and maintain a reliability security clearance. Maintain occupational certificates.
