Job Summary:

SUPERMARCHE BOUCHER INC is seeking a skilled and creative Sandwich, Salad, and Dessert Maker to join our team. As a Sandwich, Salad, and Dessert Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling a variety of sandwiches, salads, and desserts according to customer requests and established recipes. Your attention to detail, culinary skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall quality and customer satisfaction of our prepared food section.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches, salads, and desserts according to customer preferences and recipes.
• Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sandwich, salad, and dessert preparation.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Slice, chop, and prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and cheeses for sandwich and salad preparation.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of sandwich, salad, and dessert ingredients.
• Assist customers in selecting and customizing their sandwich, salad, and dessert orders.
• Ensure proper food storage and rotation to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the preparation area.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Follow established portion sizes and presentation standards for sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
• Stay updated on food trends and new recipes to offer creative and appealing options to customers.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in food preparation, preferably in a deli, cafe, or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of sandwich, salad, and dessert preparation techniques.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in ingredient selection, portioning, and presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
