Responsibilities:

• Sort and organize parcels and packages based on delivery routes and destinations.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of goods.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems, safely and efficiently.
• Scan and track parcels using handheld devices or computer systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, including clearing debris and keeping work areas tidy.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve nightly targets and meet productivity goals.
• Report any issues, damages, or discrepancies with parcels or equipment to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist in the inventory management process, including stocktaking and reconciling discrepancies.
• Follow standard operating procedures and company policies to ensure operational efficiency.
• Work in compliance with strict security and confidentiality measures for handling sensitive shipments.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Worker or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a night-time work schedule.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including sorting, loading, and unloading.
• Basic knowledge of using warehouse equipment and machinery, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification is advantageous).
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and adherence to safe working practices.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record keeping and documentation purposes.
• Flexibility to work nights, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
