Responsibilities:

1. System Monitoring:

   • Monitor various systems, including CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
   • Detect and respond to security breaches, alarms, and incidents promptly.
   • Monitor and track the movements of personnel and vehicles through surveillance systems.
   • Maintain accurate records of events, actions taken, and outcomes.

2. Incident and Emergency Response:

   • Act as the first point of contact for reporting and responding to incidents.
   • Coordinate and liaise with emergency services, such as police and fire departments.
   • Evaluate incidents, assess risks, and initiate appropriate response protocols.
   • Provide clear and accurate information to stakeholders during emergency situations.

3. Communication and Documentation:

   • Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
   • Document and report incidents, alarms, and security-related activities.
   • Provide timely and accurate updates to management and relevant teams.
   • Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.

4. Alarm Monitoring and Dispatch:

   • Monitor alarms, including intruder alarms and fire alarms, and initiate appropriate actions.
   • Dispatch response personnel to incidents or emergency situations.
   • Coordinate with security teams, mobile patrols, or field personnel as required.
   • Monitor and respond to duress alarms or panic alarms, ensuring the safety of personnel.

5. Adherence to Procedures and Regulations:

   • Follow established standard operating procedures and guidelines.
   • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the control room operations.
   • Maintain knowledge of security and safety protocols and stay updated with industry best practices.
   • Report any non-compliance or operational issues to the appropriate authorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a control room or security monitoring role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively multitask.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and operating control room equipment.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Knowledge of security systems, CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring.
• Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• SIA CCTV license or other relevant certifications is desirable.
