Job Description:

The Inn at Bay Fortune, located in Canada, is currently seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Dishwashers. As a Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring efficient operations, and supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate the dishwasher to wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
2. Sort, stack, and store cleaned items in appropriate locations, ensuring easy accessibility for the kitchen staff.
3. Handle and properly dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials.
4. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including cleaning sinks, countertops, and equipment.
5. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during service hours.
6. Follow established procedures for the safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
7. Support the kitchen staff in basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling and cutting vegetables or portioning ingredients.
8. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
9. Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
10. Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned by the supervisory staff.

Requirements:

1. No previous experience is required, although experience in a similar role is a plus.
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume dishwashing.
3. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
4. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and guidelines accurately.
5. Strong work ethic and reliability in meeting scheduled shifts.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
7. Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures is an asset.
