Job Description

Ethero is a leading recruitment agency specializing in providing staffing solutions to various industries. We are currently seeking Warehouse Workers to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our clients’ warehouses by performing various tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing goods.

Responsibilities:

1. Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods or deliveries.
2. Verify the accuracy of shipment contents and ensure they match the accompanying documentation.
3. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or designated areas according to organizational standards.
4. Label, tag, and properly store goods in appropriate locations.
5. Use forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move and transport goods within the warehouse.
6. Perform regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
7. Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring they are properly labeled and documented.
8. Assist in loading and unloading trucks or containers as needed.
9. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, including sweeping, organizing, and disposing of waste.
10. Comply with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
11. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
12. Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
13. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to meet quality and productivity standards.
14. Adhere to company policies and guidelines, including attendance and punctuality requirements.
15. Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential.
2. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is desirable.
3. Basic computer skills to update inventory records or use warehouse management systems.
4. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and documentation.
6. Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a well-organized warehouse.
7. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
8. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime when required.
9. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
10. Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
