Job Description

The Inn at Bay Fortune, located in Canada, is currently seeking experienced and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Waiters/Waitresses. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet guests, present menus, and make recommendations on food and beverage options.
2. Take accurate orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly.
3. Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints.
5. Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
6. Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or special requests.
7. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of orders.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and condiments.
9. Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.
10. Uphold health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
2. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities.
5. Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine and cocktail selections.
6. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
