Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including prescribing medication, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing medical procedures as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient consultations, treatments, and progress.
- Stay up-to-date with medical advancements, research, and evidence-based practices through continuous professional development.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in accordance with NHS guidelines and the General Medical Council (GMC) regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility to register.
- Completion of relevant specialty training and qualifications in a specific area of medicine.
- Extensive clinical experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS or a comparable healthcare system.
- Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex medical cases.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey medical information to patients and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties, as required by the healthcare facility.
