Responsibilities:

4. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care.
6. Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
7. Adhere to clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.
8. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient consultations, treatments, and progress.
9. Stay up-to-date with medical advancements, research, and evidence-based practices through continuous professional development.
10. Uphold ethical and professional standards in accordance with NHS guidelines and the General Medical Council (GMC) regulations.

Requirements:

1. Valid registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility to register.
2. Completion of relevant specialty training and qualifications in a specific area of medicine.
3. Extensive clinical experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS or a comparable healthcare system.
4. Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex medical cases.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey medical information to patients and colleagues effectively.
6. Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
7. Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
8. Commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development.
9. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties, as required by the healthcare facility.
