Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and lead a team of Water Technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
  2. Coordinate and manage water-related projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  3. Conduct inspections and assessments of water infrastructure, identifying maintenance and repair needs.
  4. Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure the efficient operation of water systems.
  5. Monitor water quality and compliance with regulatory standards, conducting testing and analysis as required.
  6. Investigate and resolve complex water-related issues and customer complaints.
  7. Oversee meter installations, replacements, and repairs, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as local authorities and contractors, to coordinate project activities.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of project activities, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to water systems.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as a Water Technician or in a similar role within the water industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of water systems, including pipelines, valves, meters, and treatment processes.
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and manage a team effectively.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  5. Knowledge of water quality standards, testing procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  6. Proficient in using water-related equipment, tools, and technology.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including lifting and operating equipment.
  9. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings, as required by project demands.
