Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry workers, and janitorial staff.
- Prepare work schedules and assign duties to housekeeping employees based on occupancy levels and operational needs.
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and ensure company policies are followed.
Room Inspections & Quality Control:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness for guests.
- Address any deficiencies immediately by either correcting them or assigning them to staff.
- Ensure rooms meet the quality standards of Lane’s Privateer Inn and reflect our commitment to guest comfort.
Inventory & Supplies Management:
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, toiletries, and equipment.
- Order necessary supplies to prevent shortages and avoid overstocking.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
Customer Service:
- Respond promptly to guest complaints or housekeeping-related issues.
- Ensure guest requests for extra amenities, linen changes, or room servicing are handled efficiently.
- Maintain a professional, friendly attitude towards guests and staff at all times.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all staff adhere to workplace health and safety regulations.
- Implement best practices to prevent injuries and maintain a safe working environment.
- Train staff on the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Additional training or certification in hospitality or housekeeping management is an asset.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or hospitality is required.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and hotel operations.
- Previous experience working in hotels, inns, or resorts preferred.
Skills:
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining composure.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for hospitality.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $22.00 per hour / 35 hours per week
