Job Description:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Baristas at Caffe Nero Group Ltd in the United Kingdom. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and crafting delicious beverages for our customers. You will create a friendly and inviting environment, ensuring that every customer’s visit is enjoyable and memorable.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages, following Caffe Nero’s recipes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers warmly, taking orders, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of their beverages.
• Operate coffee brewing equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, seating areas, and service stations.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register, ensuring accuracy and adherence to cash-handling procedures.
• Offer product recommendations and provide information about Caffe Nero’s offerings to customers.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards, following proper procedures for food handling, storage, and preparation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations, assisting with tasks as needed.
• Continuously learn and stay updated on Caffe Nero’s products, promotions, and policies.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and supporting fellow team members.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is desirable but not essential.
• Passion for coffee and a genuine interest in providing an exceptional coffee experience to customers.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
• A positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow.
• Food hygiene certification is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).
