Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate and drive trucks of varying sizes to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
2. Ensure the safe loading, unloading, and securement of cargo following established procedures.
3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
4. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while operating the truck.
5. Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize fuel efficiency.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to provide status updates and report any issues.
7. Keep accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, hours of service, and cargo information.
8. Handle documentation such as bills of lading, delivery receipts, and customs paperwork as required.
9. Perform routine maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and performing minor repairs.
10. Maintain a clean and organized truck interior and exterior.

Requirements:

1. Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with relevant endorsements.
2. Proven experience as a Truck Driver, preferably with experience in long-haul and/or local deliveries.
3. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic rules.
4. Excellent driving record with no history of accidents or violations.
5. Physical fitness and the ability to handle loading and unloading tasks.
6. Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, coworkers, and clients.
7. Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs and inspections.
8. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules and routes.
9. Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices.
10. Knowledge of English or French language for effective communication.
