Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Unload deliveries and safely store items in designated locations within the stores.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
- Pick, pack, and distribute materials to the required locations within the organization.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to ensure availability of materials.
- Conduct regular stock checks, identifying and resolving discrepancies or issues.
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of the stores area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Assist in the coordination of material movements to and from project sites.
- Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to resolve any stock-related issues or delays.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Valid work permit/visa to work in the United Kingdom (Visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates).
- Previous experience as a Stores Person or in a similar role within a construction or logistics environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording and managing inventory.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with inventory management systems or software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues, suppliers, and project teams.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
- A proactive and reliable work ethic, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
