Responsibilities:

  1. Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
  2. Unload deliveries and safely store items in designated locations within the stores.
  3. Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
  4. Pick, pack, and distribute materials to the required locations within the organization.
  5. Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to ensure availability of materials.
  6. Conduct regular stock checks, identifying and resolving discrepancies or issues.
  7. Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of the stores area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  8. Assist in the coordination of material movements to and from project sites.
  9. Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to resolve any stock-related issues or delays.
  10. Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  1. Valid work permit/visa to work in the United Kingdom (Visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates).
  2. Previous experience as a Stores Person or in a similar role within a construction or logistics environment is preferred.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording and managing inventory.
  5. Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with inventory management systems or software.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  7. Good communication skills to interact with colleagues, suppliers, and project teams.
  8. Physical fitness to handle manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
  9. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
