Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning Tasks: Perform a range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces. Clean and disinfect washrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other designated spaces as required.
- Surface Care: Use appropriate cleaning products and tools to clean and maintain various surfaces, such as floors, carpets, windows, furniture, and fixtures. Follow proper techniques to achieve desired results and minimize damage.
- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in designated bins or containers. Adhere to recycling and waste management policies and procedures.
- Specialized Cleaning: Handle specialized cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, window cleaning, or deep cleaning, based on client requirements and specific job assignments.
- Equipment and Supplies: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuums, polishers, steam cleaners, and other tools. Ensure equipment is cleaned, stored properly, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor. Manage and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, responding to their requests or concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working on-site.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to complete cleaning assignments within designated timeframes. Follow work schedules and adjust priorities as needed to meet client expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a cleaner, janitor, or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques, tools, and products for different surfaces and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning results.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and follow instructions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
