Role Overview:

As a Site Manager at Mace UK, you will be a key member of our project delivery team, responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving excellence in all aspects of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:
   • Collaborate with the project management team to develop detailed construction plans and schedules.
   • Implement and monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and resolving any delays promptly.
2. Health, Safety, and Quality Compliance:
   • Prioritize health and safety on the construction site, promoting a zero-accident culture.
   • Oversee the implementation of quality control processes to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
3. Team Management:
   • Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and labor to achieve project objectives.
   • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure a high-performing workforce.
4. Stakeholder Communication:
   • Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives and consultants, maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
   • Address any client concerns or issues promptly, striving to exceed expectations.
5. Procurement and Resource Management:
   • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
   • Efficiently manage resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project productivity.
6. Budgetary Control:
   • Monitor project expenses and keep track of costs to ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
   • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of various construction methodologies and techniques.
• A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, although relevant experience will also be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, along with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.
• Valid construction industry certifications, such as SMSTS and First Aid at Work, are desirable.
• Flexibility to travel to different project sites across the UK as required.
