Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Design, develop, and oversee the installation of electrical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform detailed electrical calculations, load analysis, and fault analysis to determine optimal system design and capacity.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems and installations.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop electrical design solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.
• Evaluate and select electrical equipment and materials based on project needs and technical specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and electrical engineering best practices.
• Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technologies, codes, and standards.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering their professional development and knowledge growth.
• Participate in project meetings, presenting technical information, and providing updates on project progress.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience working as a Senior Electrical Engineer, preferably in the building services or consulting engineering industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting design, and related electrical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671).
• Proficiency in using electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve complex electrical engineering issues.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities, with the capacity to lead and motivate project teams.
• Proven track record in delivering successful electrical engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Professional membership or chartership with a relevant engineering institution (e.g., IET, CIBSE) is advantageous.
• Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
