Experience

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
- Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules with contractors and subcontractors.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor, and time.
- Ensure that construction costs are managed as efficiently as possible.
- Measure and value the work done on-site.
- Liaise with clients and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers, and site engineers.
- Prepare reports on project financial performance.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is preferred.
- Previous experience in quantity surveying, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Office and construction management software.
