Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers with a warm and friendly approach, creating a positive and welcoming environment.
  • Assist customers in finding products and provide them with accurate information about product availability, prices, and promotions.
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, providing prompt and effective resolutions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelves, displays, and checkout areas.
  • Ensure shelves are stocked, products are properly displayed, and pricing labels are correct.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, restocking shelves as needed to ensure product availability.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service.
  • Assist with receiving and organizing stock deliveries.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying stock.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of Tesco’s One Stop brand and its commitment to customer satisfaction is a plus.
