Job Summary:

As a Merchandiser at UK Greetings Ltd, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective presentation and availability of our products within retail stores. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal product placement, implementing merchandising strategies, and building strong relationships with store personnel to drive sales and maximize brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Merchandising Execution: Visit assigned retail stores to ensure proper product placement and execution of merchandising plans according to company guidelines.
2. Product Display: Set up and arrange product displays to maximize visibility and impact, ensuring that they are visually appealing and comply with brand standards.
3. Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and liaise with store managers to ensure appropriate product replenishment.
4. Planogram Compliance: Follow planograms and guidelines provided by the company to ensure accurate product placement, shelf positioning, and space allocation.
5. Sales Optimization: Identify sales opportunities by monitoring consumer trends and competitor activities, making recommendations to increase product sales and drive revenue.
6. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with store personnel, ensuring effective communication and cooperation to achieve merchandising objectives.
7. Promotional Execution: Coordinate the execution of promotional activities, such as displays, signage, and pricing, in collaboration with the store and marketing teams.
8. Data Reporting: Collect and report relevant data, including sales figures, stock levels, and market insights, to evaluate merchandising effectiveness and inform decision-making.
9. Training and Education: Provide training and support to store staff on product knowledge, merchandising standards, and best practices to enhance their understanding and sales performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in merchandising or retail operations is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual presentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with store personnel and team members.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
• Knowledge of planograms, merchandising principles, and retail trends.
• Proficiency in using technology and software applications, such as Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Flexibility to travel and work in different store locations as required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and move boxes or product displays when necessary.
