The Role: Housekeeping Room Attendant

We’re seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean and comfortable spaces, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests have a pleasant and memorable stay.

Visa Sponsorship:

Econo Lodge holds LMIA approval to hire foreign workers under Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). We assist with:

  • LMIA-supported work permits and visa applications.

Key Responsibilities

Room Cleaning & Preparation

  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities.
  • Ensure all rooms meet Econo Lodge’s cleanliness standards before guest check-in.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the management team.

Common Area Maintenance

  • Clean and maintain public areas, such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
  • Ensure all common areas are tidy, well-stocked, and welcoming for guests.

Guest Interaction

  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and efficiency.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and guest amenities as needed.
  • Keep an organized inventory of linens, towels, and other housekeeping materials.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Adhere to Econo Lodge’s policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience: 1–2 years in housekeeping, cleaning, or a related field.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high cleanliness standards and notice small details.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Language: Basic English proficiency (verbal/written).

Personal Suitability:

  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
  • Multilingual skills to support Lloydminster’s diverse community (e.g., Tagalog, Punjabi).
