Job Summary:
As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the main point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their overall satisfaction. Your friendly and professional demeanor, along with your ability to handle various guest inquiries and requests, will contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and provide a friendly and efficient check-in and check-out process.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring effective resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, amenities, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with booking reservations, transportation, tours, or other special requests.
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, including reservation details, preferences, and payment information.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Process guest payments and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and lobby.
- Monitor and respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of communication in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up to date with hotel policies, promotions, and special events.
- Handle guest valuables and belongings with care, following proper security procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless guest experience throughout their stay.
- Follow established procedures for handling guest requests, privacy, and security.
- Provide support during emergency situations, following appropriate protocols.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of local attractions and amenities to provide recommendations to guests.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information and financial transactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or hospitality-related certification is an advantage.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
