Job Summary:
As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the face of our hotel, providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. You will handle guest inquiries, manage reservations, and provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with a friendly welcome upon arrival.
- Efficiently check-in and check-out guests, ensuring accuracy in billing and personal information.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with special requests, such as booking tours, arranging transportation, or making restaurant reservations.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, including reservations and payment details.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area.
- Stay up to date with hotel policies, promotions, and special events.
- Assist in administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information and financial transactions.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of local attractions and amenities to provide recommendations to guests.
- Ability to speak additional languages is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or hospitality-related certification is an advantage.
