Job Summary:

As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the face of our hotel, providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. You will handle guest inquiries, manage reservations, and provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet guests warmly and provide them with a friendly welcome upon arrival.
  2. Efficiently check-in and check-out guests, ensuring accuracy in billing and personal information.
  3. Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and courteously.
  4. Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  5. Assist guests with special requests, such as booking tours, arranging transportation, or making restaurant reservations.
  6. Handle guest complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  7. Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, including reservations and payment details.
  8. Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  9. Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer at all times.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area.
  11. Stay up to date with hotel policies, promotions, and special events.
  12. Assist in administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  3. Proficiency in using computer systems, including hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information and financial transactions.
  6. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  8. Knowledge of local attractions and amenities to provide recommendations to guests.
  9. Ability to speak additional languages is a plus.
  10. High school diploma or equivalent; further education or hospitality-related certification is an advantage.
