Job Summary:

As a Banquet Server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service during banquet events and functions in our hotel. Your attentiveness, professionalism, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to creating memorable experiences for our guests. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a banquet team.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up banquet function spaces according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
2. Greet and welcome guests upon their arrival at the banquet venue.
3. Assist in the coordination and execution of banquet events, ensuring adherence to timelines and guest expectations.
4. Serve food and beverages to guests during banquets, following proper serving techniques and etiquettes.
5. Clear tables and maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the banquet area throughout the event.
6. Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
7. Collaborate with the banquet team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event operations.
8. Follow established procedures for handling and maintaining banquet equipment and supplies.
9. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
10. Assist in the breakdown and cleaning of banquet spaces after events.
11. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with guests and colleagues.
12. Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and attentive demeanor.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks.
5. Professional appearance and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry trays and banquet equipment.
8. Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
9. Proficiency in using a POS system and handling cash transactions is a plus.
10. High school diploma or equivalent.
