Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, unload and inspect goods for damages or discrepancies.
- Verify and record the received quantities against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Organize and label received goods, ensuring proper storage and efficient use of warehouse space.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling items in accordance with customer orders or shipping instructions.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to safely move and handle goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
- Assist with stock replenishment and stock rotation to minimize stockouts and expired products.
- Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to company policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in verifying and recording inventory.
- Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
