Job Description:

Kew Green Hotels, a renowned hotel management company in the UK, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Guest Services Manager to join our team. As the Guest Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of guest services to ensure exceptional experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Relations:

    • Ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, providing personalized service and addressing their needs and concerns.
    • Manage guest feedback and reviews, taking prompt action to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement strategies to exceed guest expectations and maintain high levels of customer service.
  2. Front Desk Operations:

    • Supervise front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries.
    • Train and mentor front desk staff, ensuring they deliver excellent customer service and adhere to standard operating procedures.
    • Monitor guest arrivals and departures to ensure efficient handling of guest flow.
    • Handle escalated guest issues and coordinate with other departments to provide prompt resolutions.
  3. Concierge Services:

    • Oversee the concierge team, ensuring they provide a range of services, including arranging transportation, making reservations, and providing local recommendations.
    • Foster relationships with local attractions, restaurants, and service providers to offer guests the best experiences.
    • Stay informed about local events and attractions to provide up-to-date information to guests.
  4. Guest Service Standards:

    • Set and enforce high standards of guest service throughout the hotel.
    • Develop and implement guest service initiatives, training programs, and standards of performance.
    • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with service standards.
    • Monitor guest service metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  5. Team Management:

    • Recruit, train, and develop a skilled guest services team.
    • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and professionalism.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
    • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal guest service levels.
  6. Administrative Duties:

    • Prepare and manage the guest services budget, monitoring expenses and revenue streams.
    • Maintain accurate guest records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
    • Generate reports and analyze data related to guest service performance.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in guest services.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Guest Services Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, front desk procedures, and concierge services.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and reservation systems.
  • Ability to handle and resolve guest complaints or issues effectively.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
