Job Description

As a Front Office Attendant at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service at the front desk. You will greet and assist guests during their stay, handle their inquiries and requests, and ensure a smooth and memorable experience. The Front Office Attendant plays a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests, ensuring a personalized and memorable arrival experience.
  2. Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
  4. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the hotel’s facilities, services, and local attractions to effectively assist guests.
  5. Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping, concierge, and reservations, to fulfill guest requests and ensure a seamless stay.
  6. Assist in managing room inventory and reservations, maximizing occupancy and revenue.
  7. Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions, adhering to established cash handling procedures.
  8. Handle guest luggage and provide porter services when required.
  9. Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-maintained, creating a positive first impression for guests.
  10. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth shift handover and effective communication across all shifts.
  11. Adhere to all safety and security protocols, reporting any incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel.
  12. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  13. Assist in other administrative tasks as assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  2. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment, is preferred.
  3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  4. Genuine passion for providing excellent guest service with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  6. Proficiency in computer systems, including property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software applications.
  7. Ability to work well under pressure, handle challenging situations, and maintain composure.
  8. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per business needs.
  9. Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects, such as luggage, as required.
  10. Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues is an advantage.
