Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the culinary team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.
- Develop and implement menus and recipes that reflect Qatar Airways’ brand identity, customer preferences, and dietary requirements.
- Plan and coordinate food production schedules, ordering and inventory management, and kitchen workflows to meet passenger demand and budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and hygiene protocols in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation to maintain consistency, quality, and adherence to culinary standards.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source high-quality ingredients, equipment, and supplies while optimizing costs and minimizing waste.
- Stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and industry developments, and incorporate innovative ideas into menu offerings and dining experiences.
Education and Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a high-volume culinary environment, preferably in the airline or hospitality industry.
- Strong culinary skills and creativity, with expertise in menu planning, recipe development, and international cuisines.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and kitchen management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
