Responsibilities:

Energy Efficiency Initiatives:
- Develop and implement energy efficiency programs and initiatives within the council.
- Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify energy-saving opportunities.
- Analyze energy consumption data and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Stay updated with energy efficiency regulations and best practices.

Project Coordination:
- Coordinate and manage energy efficiency projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and progress.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to management.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with various departments, contractors, and external partners to drive energy efficiency initiatives.
- Provide advice and support to council staff and residents on energy-saving practices.
- Conduct awareness campaigns and educational activities to promote energy efficiency.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze energy consumption data and prepare reports on energy usage and savings.
- Track and report on the progress and impact of energy efficiency projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of energy-saving measures.
- Provide recommendations for further improvements based on data analysis.

Funding and Grants:
- Research and identify funding opportunities and grants for energy efficiency projects.
- Prepare funding applications and manage grant requirements.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure effective financial management of projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in energy efficiency or sustainability-related roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of energy efficiency practices, technologies, and regulations.
- Analytical skills to assess energy consumption and identify improvement opportunities.
- Project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with energy management software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of grant applications and funding mechanisms.
- Knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues is desirable.
