Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Driver / Offloader to join our team in Swindon, Wiltshire. This role involves driving, transporting, and unloading materials at various locations while ensuring safety compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles for the safe transportation of materials to designated locations.
• Offload goods efficiently while adhering to safety and handling regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety.
• Communicate effectively with site managers to coordinate timely deliveries.
• Follow all road and transport regulations, ensuring compliance with UK safety standards.
• Assist in loading heavy goods, securing items properly to prevent damage.
• Maintain logs of daily operations, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered.
• Report maintenance needs and vehicle faults for immediate resolution.
• Work in collaboration with the logistics team to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Follow workplace health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Valid UK or international driver’s license with eligibility for UK driving conversion.
• Experience in heavy vehicle driving, loading, or logistics handling preferred.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects safely.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
• A proactive attitude with a commitment to high service standards.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift or material handling certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience in the construction or transport industry.
