We are currently seeking skilled and reliable individuals to join our team as Drivers. As a Driver at Emdoc Medical Healthcare Limited, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients and medical supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles, such as ambulances, cars, or vans, to transport patients to medical facilities, clinics, or appointments.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of the vehicle, patients, and other road users.
- Provide safe and comfortable transportation for patients, ensuring their well-being and attending to their needs during transit.
- Follow established routes and schedules, ensuring timely arrivals at destinations.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicles, adhering to infection control and hygiene protocols.
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of patients, taking into consideration their mobility and specific medical requirements.
- Collaborate with medical personnel, ensuring effective communication and coordination during patient transport.
- Assist in the transportation of medical supplies, equipment, or documents as needed.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately and promptly.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a healthcare or medical transportation setting.
- Excellent driving skills, with a strong focus on safety, patience, and empathy.
- Empathy and compassion towards patients, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures is advantageous.
- Understanding of infection control and hygiene protocols.
- Flexibility in working hours, as transportation needs may vary and may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
