Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Architect to join our team in the United Kingdom. The Cyber Security Architect will play a crucial role in designing and implementing effective security solutions to protect our organization’s information systems and assets from cyber threats. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and maintain a robust security architecture that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Create a scalable and resilient SOC architecture that integrates infrastructure, applications, tools, and processes to support efficient security monitoring and incident response. * Work with stakeholders to define the architecture and technical requirements for constructing a cutting-edge CSOC.
* Examine and choose the best cybersecurity platforms, technologies, and solutions to satisfy the operational demands of the SOC, taking into account elements like the threat environment, scalability, and integration potential.
* To demonstrate the CSOC’s architecture, network connectivity, data flows, and integration points with other systems, create architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation.
* Work with cross-functional teams to make sure the CSOC design complies with operational goals, legal requirements, and accepted standards.
* Provide direction and support in the implementation and configuration of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, log management systems, and threat intelligence platforms. * Define and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems and data within the CSOC. To find potential weaknesses or holes in the CSOC’s infrastructure, apps, or processes, conduct security architecture reviews and risk assessments and make repair recommendations. * Work with incident response teams, providing architectural guidance during security incidents, analyzing attack vectors, and recommending improvements to prevent further incidents.
Qualifications:
* Certifications in this area, such the CISSP, CISM, or TOGAF, are highly desired.
* Demonstrated expertise developing and executing safe architectures for complicated IT systems, particularly CSOC or security-related projects, as a Cyber Security Architect.
* Thorough familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, the threat environment, and best practices for security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management. strong understanding of security technologies, such as network security controls, SIEM systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, log management systems, and endpoint security.
* a working knowledge of applicable cybersecurity frameworks, such as the ISO 27001 or NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and how to apply them to CSOC structures.
* A plus is having knowledge of related security services, experience with cloud security, and familiarity with cloud platforms (such AWS, Azure, and GCP).
* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to assess intricate technical problems and create workable architectural solutions.
* Effective technical communication and collaboration abilities, including the capacity to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Capable of inspiring and influencing cross-functional teams to build a creative and collaborative atmosphere.
* A dedication to upholding the greatest standards of honesty, professionalism, and secrecy when handling sensitive information.
