Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, providing information about menus, ingredients, and dietary requirements.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen team.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring high quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Handle payments and operate cash registers or electronic payment systems accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in service areas, including clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, hygiene practices, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction, promptly addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service operations and efficient workflow.
  • Support the setup and breakdown of dining areas for events and functions.
  • Assist in restocking and rotating food and beverage items as needed.
  • Uphold company standards and policies related to customer service, cleanliness, and professional conduct.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage menus, ingredients, and dietary requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and operating registers or payment systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to food service.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
