Responsibilities:

Classroom Management:
- Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Follow lesson plans and deliver pre-set curriculum to students.
- Maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
- Manage student behavior and enforce school policies.

Instruction and Support:
- Provide instruction to students based on the pre-set lesson plans.
- Support students in their learning and help clarify concepts.
- Ensure that students remain on task and complete assigned work.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons.

Administrative Tasks:
- Take attendance and record any relevant information for the regular teacher.
- Maintain a tidy and organized classroom environment.
- Distribute and collect class materials as required.
- Assist with classroom setup and preparation for lessons.

Student Welfare:
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage respectful behavior and interactions among students.
- Monitor and address any concerns or issues regarding student well-being.
- Report any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate school staff.

- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure continuity of learning.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and behavior.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline.
- Organizational skills to handle administrative tasks and classroom logistics.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classrooms and subject areas.
- A passion for education and supporting students’ learning and development.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training will be provided).
