Job Description:
As a Construction Electrician Helper at GK Electric Ltd., you will assist electricians in various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. You will work closely with skilled electricians and contribute to the smooth execution of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, outlets, and switches, in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Prepare materials and tools required for electrical installations, ensuring they are readily available and in good working condition.
- Assist in pulling electrical wires, cables, and conduits through specified pathways.
- Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical components, such as junction boxes, circuit breaker panels, and switchboards.
- Support electricians in performing electrical testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide assistance in the layout and marking of electrical systems under the guidance of experienced electricians.
- Learn and apply electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices under the supervision of electricians.
- Follow instructions and work collaboratively with electricians and other construction professionals to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the construction industry or electrical field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills related to electrical systems and installations.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are advantageous.
