Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Operation:
   • Safely operate construction vehicles, including trucks, lorries, and vans, adhering to all road safety rules and regulations.
2. Material Transportation:
   • Transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from construction sites.
3. Personnel Transportation:
   • Transport construction personnel, workers, and subcontractors to project sites as required.
4. Loading and Unloading:
   • Assist in loading and unloading construction materials and equipment onto and from the vehicles.
5. Vehicle Maintenance:
   • Conduct routine vehicle checks, including inspecting tires, brakes, and fluid levels, and report any maintenance issues promptly.
6. Safety Compliance:
   • Ensure all loads are secured properly and transported safely.
   • Follow health and safety protocols to protect both personnel and the public during transportation.
7. Route Planning:
   • Plan efficient routes to optimize fuel consumption and timely delivery to project sites.
8. Documentation:
   • Maintain accurate records of vehicle logs, delivery documents, and any required paperwork.
9. Team Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with construction site managers and logistics teams to coordinate transportation requirements.

Requirements:

• Driving License: A valid and clean UK driving license is essential.
• Experience: Previous experience as a construction driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
• Construction Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction materials and equipment handling is advantageous.
• Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to adhering to road safety regulations and safe driving practices.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual tasks related to loading and unloading construction materials.
• Communication: Good communication skills to interact professionally with project teams and stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various construction sites as needed.
• Responsibility: Demonstrated sense of responsibility in handling construction vehicles and equipment.
