Job Overview:

We are currently seeking diligent and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Cleaners at Musselburgh Sports Centre. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors, surfaces, and fixtures.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
• Empty and dispose of waste bins and recycling bins, following proper disposal procedures.
• Clean and sanitize gym equipment, ensuring it is safe and ready for use.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces, leaving them streak-free and spotless.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of locker rooms, offices, and other areas as assigned.
• Follow cleaning schedules and instructions to ensure all areas are cleaned thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures, using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance team.
• Collaborate with other cleaning staff and facility personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Uphold professional conduct and maintain a positive and customer-friendly attitude.
• Assist with additional cleaning tasks or special projects as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided for suitable candidates.
• Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse team.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment is advantageous.
• Understanding of health and safety practices in a cleaning environment.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Valid work permit or right to work in the United Kingdom.
