Job Summary

As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, and execution of various civil engineering projects. Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements, goals, and objectives.
  2. Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility and gather necessary data for design and planning purposes.
  3. Develop comprehensive project designs, specifications, and calculations in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools to create detailed engineering drawings and models.
  5. Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and timelines, considering resource allocation and materials requirements.
  6. Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams throughout the project lifecycle, addressing design issues and resolving technical challenges.
  7. Ensure that all civil engineering projects adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental considerations.
  8. Conduct regular inspections and site visits to monitor construction progress, assess quality, and address any deviations from project specifications.
  9. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
  10. Prepare project reports and documentation, including progress reports, design calculations, and as-built drawings.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is preferred.
  3. Proven experience in civil engineering, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.
  4. In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and codes.
  5. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  8. Sound understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
  9. Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and environmental considerations in civil engineering.
  10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
