Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Outreach Community and Residential Services in the United Kingdom. As the Catering Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our catering operations, ensuring the provision of high-quality meals and excellent service to our residents and clients. You will be responsible for managing the catering team, menu planning, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the catering team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents and clients, considering nutritional guidelines and any specific dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to relevant standards.
• Monitor and manage catering budgets, controlling costs and expenses while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Oversee the procurement of food and supplies, ensuring timely and efficient delivery and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• Establish and maintain relationships with food suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure the consistency and excellence of food preparation, presentation, and service.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as care staff and management, to ensure effective communication and coordination of catering services.
• Handle any customer feedback or concerns promptly and professionally, taking appropriate action to address and resolve issues.
• Stay updated on current food trends, industry best practices, and regulatory changes related to catering and food services.
• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering teamwork, respect, and collaboration among the catering team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role as a Catering Manager, preferably within the care or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, and catering operations.
• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, with relevant certifications.
• Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, residents, and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Proficiency in using catering management software and computer applications.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
