Position Overview:
As a Care Assistant at Victoria Park Personal Care Community, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to our residents in a respectful and compassionate manner. You will work closely with other members of the care team to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
- Assist residents with mobility and ambulation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff.
- Participate in care planning and contribute to the assessment of residents’ needs.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Completion of a Care Assistant training program or equivalent is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- A genuine interest in working with seniors and a commitment to providing quality care.
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
