Job Summary:
As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for operating a bus and providing safe and efficient transportation services to passengers along designated routes. Your role will involve following traffic laws and regulations, maintaining passenger safety and comfort, and adhering to the company’s service standards. This position requires a valid driver’s license, excellent driving skills, and strong customer service abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a bus and transport passengers safely and efficiently along designated routes.
- Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure passenger safety.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collect fares from passengers and provide accurate tickets or receipts.
- Announce stops and provide relevant information to passengers during the journey.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bus, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
- Follow the company’s service standards and guidelines in delivering excellent customer service.
- Adhere to established schedules and maintain punctuality to ensure on-time arrivals and departures.
- Uphold confidentiality and respect passengers’ privacy during the transportation process.
- Complete required documentation, such as daily mileage logs and incident reports.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well independently and handle various passenger situations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- Valid PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) license or ability to obtain one.
