Job Summary:
Bellway Homes Ltd is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Site Manager. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in overseeing the construction and development of residential properties. This role requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality homes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site Manager in coordinating and managing all on-site construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes.
- Monitor and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site operatives to ensure work is carried out efficiently and to the required standards.
- Support the Site Manager in maintaining accurate records, including site diaries, progress reports, and documentation related to materials, labor, and equipment.
- Assist in the coordination of site logistics, including deliveries, storage, and waste management.
- Conduct regular inspections of work progress, quality, and safety, identifying and addressing any issues or deviations from plans.
- Assist in managing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a smooth handover process for completed properties.
- Assist in resolving construction-related issues and responding to customer queries or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction and residential development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the construction industry, preferably in residential development.
- Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related field are desirable.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction best practices.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in using construction-related software and tools.
- Flexibility to work on-site and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites as required.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
