Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Analysis: Perform structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to assess the strength and integrity of aircraft structures.
- Design and Modification: Contribute to the design and modification of aircraft structures, including wings, fuselage, and landing gear.
- Materials and Composites: Evaluate and select materials and composites for use in aircraft structures, considering weight, strength, and durability.
- Repair and Maintenance: Develop repair and maintenance procedures for damaged or worn aircraft structures.
- Testing and Validation: Plan and conduct structural tests to validate designs and assess their performance under various conditions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that aircraft structures comply with relevant aviation regulations and standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of structural analysis, design, and testing, and prepare technical reports.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics engineers, systems engineers, and project managers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards.
